Hi guys! Took step 1 on dec 20th, score has been reported january 18th, but I just can´t do the OASIS trick cause I am scared to death! I´m begining to become pretty anxious, just like the days before the exam.

Should I just wait till my score arrives home?

Thanks

i advice u to go in for oasis trick .dont worry , u would have passed .................i personnallly feel that if u dont do ur oasis trick then ur anxiety will keep increasing till ur score comes to ur hand , i m litttle bit releaved that i passed , but still i have that anxiety,i feel that it is worse than the one i had it before the exam, if i havent done my oasis trick i would have had it more,

lets say u get ur red printed card thro oasis trick then u will be relieved to some extent ,buddy but if by chance (i know it wont happen but if it)it lets u go into the application then think the oasis doesnt work.......were it happened for some people ......

this is just my advice.....all the best , i can understand ur situation even i was in ur situation were i felt the same and did it with vain........

Man thanks a lot for your kind words, it really help me a lot!

Well, I´ve decided to wait til tomorrow, if that precious mail doesn´t appear in my front door, I´ll do it!

I´ll let you know as soon as I get my score or do the trick. Please let me know when your score arrives, I´m sure you will get a high score, best of luck! Take care, and talk to you soon! bye

HI, dr tsuka!

I took my step 2 exam (third of a series--so my anxiety level is really high) last Dec. 23. I checked the OASIS site today & it says "score reporting: Jan. 18. Saw your posts about the Oasis trick , went to the ECFMG website & tried re-applying for Step 2 ck & it said: our records show that you have passed.......

I'll still wait for the official letter from the mail so I can fully do the dance of joy but you could just imagine how "waiting" is stressing me out. I am not that dumb but having to take step 2--3X just really brought down my self-confidence & respect. Thanks for mentioning the OASIS trick.

Hi there

I can only imagine what u are going through, all the best. Wait for ur score cause what if oasis is wrong and tells u the wrong thing, Okay well thats what i think. All the best, u will be fine.

Hi rocny!

congratulations on step 2! I´m sure you´ll get a great score! I really admire your persistence on step 2, that takes a lot of courage, and you should be proud. You should do the dance of joy, cause you passed for sure.

Hi mavis, one issue keeping me for not doing the trick, is that I´ve known many people in whom the oasis trick has failed, so I don´t wan´t to become a victim! but on the other hand, I´m really begining to feel the stress. Hope my score arrives soon.

Thanks all of you, good luck!

Hi all!!! I just checked the OASIS trick and I...

passed step 1!!!! GOT This sentences on my screen:

Our records indicate that you have already passed this Step or Step Component or the equivalent NBME® Part. The USMLE Policy on Reexamination generally does not allow applicants to retake a Step or Step Component if they have already passed that Step or Step Component or the equivalent NBME Part. There are, however, certain exceptions to this policy:

Exception #1: Applicants pursuing H-1B visa status who have passed NBME Part I and/or Part II may take the equivalent Step(s) to meet the examination requirements for this visa. Exception #2: Applicants who have already passed a Step or Step Component or the equivalent NBME Part may retake that Step or Step Component if they need it to comply with a time limit of a medical licensing authority for completion of all Steps or a requirement imposed by another authority recognized by the USMLE program for this purpose. Exception #3: Applicants who have passed all or a portion of the NBME certifying examinations, Part I, Part II, and Part III, or the Federation Licensing Examination (FLEX) Components 1 and 2 and have never been granted a medical license by a U.S. medical licensing authority, may take any Step(s) for which they are otherwise eligible.
  • Exception #4: For the purposes of ECFMG Certification, ECFMG requires that applicants pass those USMLE Steps or Step Components required for ECFMG Certification within a seven-year period. Effective June 14, 2004, applicants must pass Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 2 CS within a seven-year period for ECFMG Certification; this new seven-year requirement applies to applicants whose earliest USMLE passing performance that is valid for ECFMG Certification took place on or after June 14, 2004. Prior to June 14, 2004, ECFMG required that applicants pass Step 1 and Step 2 CK within a seven-year period for ECFMG Certification; this prior seven-year requirement continues to apply to applicants if their earliest USMLE passing performance that is valid for ECFMG Certification took place before June 14, 2004. If you still wish to apply for this exam based on one of the reexamination exceptions outlined above, you may proceed with your on-line application. For Exceptions #1, #2 and #3, you must submit documentation supporting this exception. Note: The documentation you submit must be received and evaluated before processing of your on-line application can be completed. Click here for a list of appropriate documentation and complete instructions on how to submit the support documentation.

    OH GOSH, WHAT A RELIEF!!!
I have a question, did you get an option below saying:

    Item 2. Medical Education Status

    Student

    Graduate?
