it seems like it is an inducer of P450 and it also listed as one of the substrates for P450 metabolism.

kaplan q bank says its not while in my notes on first aid I have written it as a p450 inhibitor..I think I am wrong.

irreversibly inhibits H/K ATPase in the stomach parietal cell. Cyt P450 functions in the liver, I don't think is an effect of omeprazole.

G&G says, it inhibits some of the isozymes of cytochrome P450, yet it does'nt cause major drug interactions however toxicity of few drugs have been reported to be exacerbated when co-administered with PPI's. wel, there are so many drugs which has gotta do a thing or two with cytochromes, but try to remember the important ones....
