Hi guys. I wanted to tell my experience and ask for some advice. I had 12 interviews for categorical so far, (Scores 247(99)/267(99)/229(95) As an IMG is hard to get into good programs, I have been at really small universities with hospitals of around 300 beds with no VA hospital. I consider this kind of programs as pseudouniversities because they offer the same training as big community program but the only difference is the name. I guess there is some advantage of getting a degree from a pseudouniversity. But when it comes to the visa decision, which one would you pick; a pseudouniverity with H1-B or a True University with J1 in a big city????? Has anyone has heard something about The Methodist Hosptial -Houston??? Is it a community hospital or an afiliated community program or other??? Someone told me they are going to become like the Mayo Clinic ....... But how long it will take. They say the are going to have rotations at MD Anderson and Texas Childrens and Memmorial Herman all these hospital are Top 20 American Institution.
