prostaglandins maintain the renal flow by dilating the arterioles, therefore as aspirin reduces the flow , angiotensin II comes into play in order to maintain the GFR, but again aspirin by itself is insufficient to cause renal papillary necrosis, however on top of it if u throw the free radical injury to the papilla induced by acetaminophen, tht's actually a killer combination and over time papillary necrosis occurs.

PGs are vasodilator of afferent arterioles-----inhibited by NSAIDs angiotensin 2 are vasoconstrictor of efferent arterioles thus in presence of NSAIDs both aff &eff are constricted
