Okay, this is driving me crazy...
OASIS reported that my score was sent on 18 Jan. I immediately tried the IWA trick and tragically the system allowed me through. All I could see and hear in my mind was FAIL over and over again. Moods throughout the night lilted from disbelief to acceptance to determination to anger to sadness and back to incredulous disappointment. That's when my good friend Johnny Walker paid a visit.
He hasn't left all weekend...
And now, on the tailend of a two day stupor, kishore posts that the OASIS trick didn't work for him! He didn't get the red screen but passed anyway... so hope springs eternal, perhaps? I still haven't got that score in the mail, so maybe, just maybe....
So I try IWA again, and once again it lets me register... you FAILED, you bastard. Can or should I hope that I am one of those 0.001% of people for which OASIS (the duplicitous whore!) has lied to, simply to mess around with my fragile IMG constitution?
Another trick unveils itself: attempt to register for the Step 2 CS - if the system allows me to do so, then I clearly have passed Step 1! True? Perhaps, I don't know - its all specious rumor at this point. So I try it, and lo and behold, I can register for S2CS without a hitch. Hmmm....
So I reason this out in the weird logic of the damned-but-ever-hopeful. I do know some people who have taken Step 2 before Step 1, so perhaps this last trick really isn't significant; why would ECFMG require that we pass S1 before registering for the S2?
So I have two conflicting indications as to my fate. The traditional OASIS trick (which has been reported to be wrong at times) indicates that I have failed and should disbowel myself while I still have some honor left. The "other" OASIS trick indicates that I possibly have passed.... So what do I believe, what do I do....
For now, try for the first time in a long time to sleep... and hope that someone can shed some light on the Step 2 CS trick... Like I said, hope springs ever eternal. If you guys don't hear from me tomorrow evening, I'll be floating in the river.
Just kidding....  More than likely I'll be crying into my First Aid.

my suggesstion...try to supress all thoughts abt USMLE....forget tht u ever took tht exam..
as long as u dont get the result in ur hands , u cant b sure abt ur fate...so try not to think abt it now n try to enjoy ur life
at the same time.....remember ...tht whts done is done....worrying abt it wont change ur result...its already sent....
hope for the best but be ready for the worst....whtever ur result wud b , accept it n plan ur next step b/c nothing is the end of the world...n nothing is more imp than ur life...

i torally agree. i mean come on! you know that the OASIS trick is NOT OFFICIAL so it could gravely be wrong since there is no systemic Control or Debugging over it and computers make mistake. so keep your hopes up and PRAY for the Best.
keep yourself busy with whatever that is NOT related to USMLE until you get the result so that, this doesn't preoccupy your mind. this way if you are NOT thinking about it, the time will go by much faster and the report will be in your box in no time.
and when you do get the result, tell yourself "What the hell! this is just another quiz..." and don't let it disturb you. remember FAILURES ARE EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES. nothing more.

no scores as yet,,, i took the exam on20th dec n its been 5 weeks now.....
dont knw how long it takes for the results to reach KSA....

hi kronossk, based on my seniors experiences i can definitely say its much better to get >90 in ur 2nd attempt than gettin <80 in ur 1st attempt. u must b thankful for not gettin 75 or 76. plan to take ur exam at the earliest. otherwise u will only b thinking about the past. ALL THE BEST.
