ok, i started with a few random blocks of 46. i checked my overall performance and according to UW, i was weak in Pedia, OB, and Pulmo. i did some work on my pedia and stayed above 50% on the 2 Pedia blocks after doing Pedia review. i did an OB block (with NO prior review) and got crushed. i studied the 46 Qs and their explanations, cross referencing with Secrets and FA for more info. i did another OB block and wow, got Crushed again. im not talking below 50% im talking my 2 OB blocks were both in the 30's. my quesions are -

is UW's feedback a good guage of what to study/how to improve?

are the UW Ob/Gyne Qs harder than the real CK?

how much Ob/Gyne did your exams have?

is Ob more important? or is Gyne more heavily tested?

maybe i'll just skip Ob/Gyne and hope i dont get any Qs wink

much thanks

I believe a lot depends upon what route u took to reach UW. I mean-- (1) did u do Q Book & Q Bank before UW.(2) More imp-- Did u manage to really utilize Qbook & Qbank well enough before starting UW. While doing questions u should analyze how many Qs u got wrong due to : didnot understand that text while reading it /understood but did not memorize well enough to recall during the Q / missed an imp point while reading Q/ recalled well & read Q well, yet got it wrong due to applying a wrong concept / what the he-- the Q was about???

I think one must improve oneself at each level of Qns --[mock/nms/mskap] to [Qbook &Qbank] to [Uw].

In your case, if u r not sure of UW as a gaugemetre, why dont u use your previous performances at QBank etc to pinpoint ur shortcomings. Then use UW to get ur speed & reflexes up (and maybe ignore the few out-of-nowher Qns in UW)

PS-- THOSE WHO HAVE CLEARED 2CK, CAN U PLLLLEASE ANSWER THE QNS IN ABOVE POST AS TO HOW TO REALLY USE UW. ARE SOME QNS REALLY TOO UNRELATED TO USMLE TO WASTE TIME UPON??
