Hi there I'll be happy to know what book is considered to be goood for physiology review for step 1 ??? Can anyone tell me whether Ganong is a review book or a reference? Thx

http://www.prep4usmle.com/resources/66 according to FA good is BRS Physiology. Many usmle takers study from Kaplan lectures. If you need only review, these are good , if you have time to study more, Ganong (924 pages) is excellent.

Ganong is a reference dude... It's more than 900 pages! Kaplan is far far easier to handle and I've heard its ideal for Step 1.

Thanks DrPak. I don't understand why it's named as "review of medical physiology". I agree, Ganong is a kind of concise reference for people who are familiar with physio and biochem. It's very uptodate, but renal and respiration sections need some improvements.
