Dear bbb, Guten Tag or Grüß Got!

I had an interview last week at a UMass program and the PD was very impressed. He wrote me an E-mail saying that my experience in Germany is very good and that if I match in his program, it will be a great thing.

My Q is;

Is it a good sign,or he writes the same thing to every applicant. And if he realy want me to match, why didn't he offer me a prematch? I didn't ask about any prematch since it will put me in a weak position and I have a realy good experience from Germany which is very important for most of PDs I realized.

I think that good programs do not offer any prematches. Only weak programs do.

I can't answer if he would send it to every applicant, why would he send it to someone that he didn't want? Perhaps his program doesn't offer prematches - some don't.

Best of luck! Danke

Dear bbb,

Danke for your reply. I realized one thing.

Nobody know what will happen on match day. The whole Match is a gamble.

Liebe Grüße
