I am going to start studying for the step 3 exam. Ideally I would like to finish it before I start my residency in July, (I prematched). I am going to use kaplan videos, kaplan lecture notes, usmle world, and q-bank. I may read crush as well. Can anyone tell me if this is the way to go with this. Does anyone think that using the step 2 kaplan lecture notes on top of step 3 lecture notes is a good idea, or is the step 3 lecture notes good enough to use alone?

Gee, that is a lot of material! I would keep the Step 2 as reference, but go with the Step3 format as main study material. I would say... USMLE world is super important, the Case simulation part will help you a lot. Crush is a good idea too. Start warming up your engines with crush, it will give you a broad vision to start right away doing practice tests. Good luck! It is a great idea to get step 3 done, once in the residency you will have no time to prepare.

Thanks for the advise. One more question, which book do you guys think is better, Crush or Stong Medicine? I only want to use one of them, not both.
