Hello reet

I have gone thru form 1.I am planning to take all 4.Last time I took two and that was pretty enough too.I would suggest atleast take two. Each spaced out by 2 weeks minimum and also should be close to the test date.

I'd strongly recommend standard mode. The main purpose is self assessment and its best to simulate the exam as closely as possible.Good luck!

I found Form 3 & 4 (yes, that one has been added) to be real eye-openers. My husband, who passed both of his USMLEs with 99 last year, said that his exam was nowhere near as tough as these two forms. I thought that they were pretty similar to my exam though.

I would suggest that you take the self-timed version - it will give you four hours per block. True, you might end up cheating yourself time-wise if you´re not careful. But what I did to avoid that from happening, was unplug the phone (so I wouldn´t be interrupted) and set a timer. If you don´t have one of these kitchen-timers, use your alarm clock, or download a free timer from the internet.

That way, you can take one block, and then copy & paste the questions into a word-doc. You´ll have to do that by using your "Print" button/key on the computer. (Remember to do this, BEFORE you actually end that block. Because once the block is over, there´s no reviewing of the questions.) Sure it´s a hassle, but that way you will actually be able to review the questions later on. And that is really a good learning experience! But these are just my 2 cents - for whatever they may be worth... rolling eyes

Hey Malinda !

The idea of writing down the questions by hand - horrible ! Definitely get that screen capture software. But first check to see if you have a "Print (Screen)" key on your computer. Mine is 4 years old, but I still have that key. If you do, try it by pressing that key once while reading this. Then open a word doc & go to "insert": the screen-shot that you just took should open in your word-doc. If you don´t have that button, use Geroo´s link - that should do the trick ! Good Luck !
