Hi, Busy-Mum, I too believe that you did the test very well, since you could clearly remember the test, your weak points and your Qbank score 68% with NBME 450! Come on, if I were you, I would never ever worry about the score, because definitely you have passed it!!! Also when you get your score, please tell me that I am correct.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Hi busy_mom I will surely pray for you as I really want you to pass as I know all the hardships. Dont worry everything is going to be just fine...its a very transient phase and I remember one of my friends who was also very upset that her exam did not go well and I could not beleive my ears when she called me to tell me abt her score as the way she was feeling soon after the exam ... no one could even imagine that she has done it so well. Think positive ...

thank you for your encouraging words - I really hope you are right !!! Sure I tell myself that people have passed the USMLE eventhough they got a lower score on the qbank and on the NBME. I do realize that ! But my (practice) NBME exams just were not so heavy on things I had absolutely no clue about ! And my first impression is almost always correct. (In this case my impression right after having come out of the exam was that I had probably failed.) So, thatīs where my constant doubt comes from. But I will definitely let you know how it went...
Right after my exam I was "down in the dumps", basically lying in a pit (of despair). But with every encouraging word I got, all of you pulled me out of there and even helped me get back up. And for me that is so important right now, since I have to continue with my tight schedule. And I really would not be able to do that otherwise. Thank you all for that ! Of course Iīll fall again, if it turns out that I failed afterall. But just knowing this forum is so full of great people, I just know that -no matter how often or deep I will fall- I will be able to get back on my feet again ! And for that I want to thank every one of you !!!
(And I want every single reader of this post to know that as well: Most of us are in the same, or at least similar boat. No matter what the situation, you will always find somebody whoīs been there and done that. So when youīre desperate, cry out, and you will see that alot of fantastic people will come give you a hand. This forum is the best !!!  )

Hey, It seems like I had the same exam when I gave it yesterday. The first 2 blocks were direct questions and then the other blocks had these weird immunology questions. Pharmacology was just like 8 questions all over. Embryology was 1 , behavioral were all doctor- patient questions, Physiology was all mixed with pathology and so many questions on hormones, Patho was mainly female reproductive. I had so many questions which I never read. I think they have changed the exam format because I did the Ecfmg cds and they scored a good 39/50. All the questions in the cd were easier then the exam. The kaplan q-book is not a good assessment of the test.I dont know if I will pass am so scared, I studied everything but many things were out of most of the course...Please everyone pray that I pass.

i sure do pray for you to get the best you desire.
in the meantime, trust God and keep your hopes up. there were many people who thought they`d failed for sure but their scores turn out to be high. Miracles happen, not everything is in our hands...

Hi Everyone !
Just wanted to let you know that Oasis says: "Our records indicate that you have already passed this Step or Step Component or the equivalent NBMEŪ Part." !!!!!!!!! (It was really sweet: my husband woke me up at 4:30 in the morning to tell me I had passed - he hadnīt been able to sleep well, because he knew that today was the day of the "Oasis-trick", so he got up at 4 to check Oasis. Needless to say, this was one of the best wake-up calls I have ever gotten ! )
I donīt know what to say: I am SOOOOO happy ! And I REALLY want to thank every single one of you that has included me in their prayers, wished me well, or just given me words of encouragement ! Thank you all ! Somehow (along with the help of our "Big Boss", whatever we call him !) you guys helped pull me through. I donīt know how to thank you enough for that !
I know alot of you will think Iīm just one of these paranoid panic-"ranters", but let me assure you: Iīm really not ! I was pretty sure I had failed. The only explanation I have is that -due to the difficulty of this specific exam- the USMLE guys have probably done the scoring differently (meaning in my/our favor). So that should give everyone with the same/similar exam some hope ! And I want all of you to know: if I can do it, every single one of you can too ! And I hope you do !
Thank you so much for everything you have done for me - Iīll include you all in my prayers as well ! Iīll be glad to answer any questions you might have, although Iīm not somebody that scores high - Iīm sure that I JUST passed this. But honestly, I donīt even care - I am so happy ! Anyway, I have my CS in 2 weeks - at least now Iīll be able to focus on that, without constantly having to think abou what would happen IF...
Good Luck to you all, and remember: if I can do it (and you saw my not-so-good NBME scores shortly before my exam !), so can you !

Good going girl .I am so happy for you.Believe me I totally understand when U say "i dont care about what I scored"..I have so much on my shoulders,not in terms of responsibilities but in term of future,a good average life style for my kids.My husband is working so hard to make things easier for me and the only thing that scares me is to let him down one more time...
But its your day.and I am sure u will hit a good score.Congratulations again

congradulations!!! i'm new to the forum and after reading your original exam experience i have to say i was pretty scared. biochem, immuno and molecular bio are my weakest areas, but know i have good hopes for the exam.

Congratulations busy_mom. You've really acheived something great, I mean your i.d. says it all busy_mom. I;m sure only thse with kids will truly be able to understand the great mountain that you jussed crossed. Good going, and God's grace in the rest of your exams. I don't think you panic one-tenth as much as I do. Just know that come June 2007, you're going to begin you residency program, simple! Take care and celebrate!!
