Drug treatment for narcolepsy involves medications to deal with 2 major abnormalities intrinsic to narcolepsy. What are the 2 factors in narcolepsy treated and the drug used in each case.

Treat the two main factors in narcolepsy
1. Excessive daytime somnolence. Use CNS stimulants eg. methlphenidate or dextroamphetamine

2. Cataplexy - Use tricyclic antidepressants eg imipramine

yes they go into the rem sleep directly

They have the same type of waves as REM sleep: saw tooth.
Does REM have beta waves? I think REM is saw tooth, but it "looks like" beta waves.
(correct me if i'm wrong)
