Dear Friends:
I decided to post my experience because reading this forum during my Step 1 preparation gave me hope and encouragement. I want to say, as other's have done before: You can do this! Study, do your best and pray....

Step 1 Score: 235=95
Thanks to God and the Virgin Mary..

I graduated from medical shool 8 years ago (IMG). During my preparation I was working, writting a paper for publication, preparing for my wedding (4 days after the exam) and very stressed out about some delay in travel permit.

I used Kaplan books (and videos at the beginnning). I think is a good idea to write in your First Aid from Kaplan because it helps on the revision. I wish I had done that earlier in my review. I think you do need to study everything (First Aid alone is not enough). I also read BRS Path.

Eventhough I tried, I couldn't sleep the night before the exam. I felt terrible after the exam and didn't know if I pass. I had enough time to finish each block, but not like the practice exams where I had a lot of time to review answers. I felt I missed too many questions. My exam had a good percentage on molecular biology and experiments questions sad

I want to thank my husband and my family for all their support and encouragement.
