i didn't realize the dean's letter contain pages of detailed character, personality, accomplishments of the applicant... so what happens when FMGs decide to take residency in the US maybe a few YEARSSSS after graduating medicine?, where do they get the Dean's letter and LOR if you probably don't know anyone else there anymore

You medical school office may or may not have a template for Deans letter - have posted mine at http://Tips4Match.blogspot.com - make a letter out of it and ask them to get it done for u . My college charged me money for having it done...
try to keep LORs from clinical people you know recently 0 but do look up ECFMG website requirements about LORs...
