if a patient has aneurysm at the junction between the anterior cerebral and anterior communicating,what is the visual field defect he might have?

The aneurysm presses on the fibers in the optic chiasm from the upper quadrant of each temporal field producing a bitemporal inferiorquadrantanopsia. (bottom lateral sides of both visual fields are blind)

agreed,but if u have kaplan notes go to th questions after chapter 7(visual pathways) 1st question.they give the anser bitemporal superior quadrantnopsia

Good observation. That is definately a typo/misprint. -See the cerebral cortex chapter (p. 438 in the 2002 edition.) clinical correlate.
