i think nrmp will withdraw you from match once you are past a particular point without ecfmg certificate. there will be no post match eligibility in such a case. call nrmp. or email them .they usually get back to you quick.
good luck

dear mesh,

i was in a similar position last year....so i can tell u how it goes hopefully. you will be withdrawn from the match if ur result is not available by the 22nd of feb. but if ur result is out before the match u r eligible to participate in the post match. you will be able to see the vacant positions on the nrmp web site on the 15th of march ( if u r registered with nrmp) and will be able to apply to 30 progs without any additional fee and hopefully get a position somewhere. ur chances would be better if u have interviewd at one of those places. ecfmg certificate is not required for the match or post match..you need to have it before joing a program ...i.e the first of july in the majority of cases.

hope i could help..
