MCA as you know supplies the lateral cortex where you have the frontal, premotar and motor and sensory cortex. so yo have paralysis of opposite side till above knee. because you also knee that that area representing knee s supplied by the anterior cerebrl. in prefrontal we have the prefrntal eye feild and it manages gaze so eye deviates to the leision.as we just talked we get aphasias. mostly expressive or brocas.

PCA covers occipital obe, part of parital and temporal post.thalamic branches. peduncles of the brain the corticospinal gone ? then it is diffiultto diff with mca. but have other symptos

MCA causes mostly APHASIAS. agree.
Also:
-Spastic paresis and anesthesia of contra lower face and upper limb.
-Also for Aphasias, this occurs mainly when the LEFT MCA are affected (because language is on Left lobe in majority of people) So what happens if the RIGHT MCA is occluded? Will there still be aphasias?
-Neglect of Contralateral side (Left neglect will be seen if RIGHT MCA is occluded.)
-You said "eye deviates to the lesion" I don't think thats right.
MCA branches supply Meyer's Loop (the lateral part of the loop-correct me if i'm wrong), and therefore occlusion of the branches that supply meyers loop in the temporal lobe causes CONTRALATERAL Sup. Quadrantanopsia. (Pie in the sky).

-Anything else for MCA?
Anyone please input if there is any other findings of MCA occlusion.
Thanks again.
