sleep apnea decreases oxygenation> chronic hypoxia> chronic autoregulartory vasocnstriction of lung arterioles> thickening and inc vesc resistance> puonary artery hypertension> right heart failure. it is also known to cause hypertension and left heart failure. but mechanism i dont know
