You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1
First of all thank You for all Your good answers on this site! It is written somewhere in the information booklet that to be able to get a residency / VISA you have to get a letter of approval from your home country saying that they need the specialty you want to get in the US. Did you have to get anything like that from germany? I thought that most IMGs stayed in the US after completing residency, is this not so?

I'm not ECFMG certified, but yes, to get a J1 visa, you will need the letter. Check the ECFMG web site for more information.
And in my 14 or so years of working with residents - only a handful have gone home - usually because they wanted to. ___________________ bbb - trying to combine common sense and humour into realistic answers, but not going to guess on anyone's chances of getting into a position....
