I'm doing both Pharma and pathology these days and I'm going at an snail's pace. I have to finish my first read in mid march and at the rate I'm going I'm begining to get doubts if I will. I basically made a very rough time table simply by calculating how many pages I have to do per day to finish the course in time. I'm going so slowly in pharma and patho I wonder I'll be able to finish in time. However it occured to me that pharma and patho are "slow" subjects, in that they take more time than other subjects like Physio or anatomy. Does anyone concur with this? If I'm going slow now, will I be able to 'catch-up' on my pages/day rate when I get to physio and anatomy?

it become old said that slow and steady wins the race, now fast and steady wins the race patho is very vast subject, there are so many toipcs and diseases in patho,so it takes relatively more time, speed doesnt depend on pages only it also depnds on how many topics in a subject, speed also depends on review books,if u r using BRS patho,it takes more time than keplan bcs brs patho contains more topics than keplan,if u study relatively slow for patho only ,then it doesnt matter so much bcs patho is heavily tested and also patho relates with other subjects. as kingsofki said not give more than 2 months for ist read, during ist read try to understand the material and then do questions chapterwise or subject wise then during 2nd read try to memorise the material and then with FA do qbank.this is a very good stretegy and takes relatively less time.GL

Pathology is an extensive subject and requires extensive review.Pharmacology tends to be dry, requires memorization...and so will take time...it frustrated me to the core and haunted me through out my prep!Keep at it DrPak...you'll do just fine. You will be able to catch up on the pages/day rate once you get to physio and anatomy.Physio is mainly core concepts and logic and once you get it it sticks...so I don't think that should be a problem.Good luck!
