i got a email from pd of a community program that they are goin to rank me but didnt tell where.they told me to rank their program high to match there.actually,i got this type of mail for the first time,i m excited.does this mean anything as they ve got only 3 seats for the match.wat r my chances.thanks

Program directors are not allowed to tell you where they are going to rank you. It's against the NRMP rules.

bbb,
isn't ot true that most progs rank all the applicants they interview(as long as the interview goes okay)...or do we have to worry about even making it to the ROL of the programs where we interviewed.

some programmes send these kinda letters for only those people whom they rank high to ensure that the candidates r aware that they r ranking them high and would also encourage candidates to rank them high!!!
But some of them send mass e-mail,like michael reese one went into my junk mail folder so i know by this that they have played same game with most of those whom they interviewed!!!

From what one of my friends told me they will rank u high,because despite thank you letter he didnt get any response,please ask other candidates who interviewed at this programme.
if it is one of your top three choices then u can express further intrest by writing to them thanking them for ranking you.
