52 yr male brought into emergency room by his wife because he has been complaining of severe headache physical exam reveals ptosis of the rt eye facing down and out there is fixed and dilated rt pupil with inability to accommadate. subarachnoid blood appears on noncontarst CT scan, MRA would be expected to reveal an aneurysm of which of the vessels?

possibly the anterior communucating artery
aneurysm compressing the optic tract

i,m not very sure

it is posterior communicating artery (2nd commonest for berry aneurysm). It is compressing over the III (Oculomotor) nerve and hence ocular findings. Eye is turned to right because of unopposed Lateral rectus (abducent). All other signs ptosis and loss of accomodation is due to III Nerve palsy.
