Dear friends, dear PDs! and coordinators too!
I know that there thousands of applicants and that your programs are so great.
But the applicant is also a human being and he respected you and paid money to apply to your program and he deserves at least an E-mail.
Or may be you let all thease people wait, JUST IN CASE some AMG cancells his contract?
Dont worry, dont be so anxious and obsessive, send rejections, and you can still call people and ask for help.
Oh, too proud to ask for help?
I know, because your program is so great.
But see, the applicants are simple people, IMGs you know, you can do whatever you want with them. They never complain, they are here to fill the unfilled only. Who cares about them?

please neglect that message above.
it is a dangerous attitude without consideration. it is understood that if you don't hear anything, the program has very little interest upon you. if you have good scores & good CV, of course the interviews are there for you. simple as that.

I think AMGs and IMGs get treated same regarding rejection letter. Programs would either send rejection letters to all applicants or none.

The application process is stressful and most people vent out because of the uncertainty..I think one of the point is well taken--all applicants deserve atleast a courtsey one line email..but if someone begs for reconsideration, it really is pathetic and if PDs ignore the person, well, thats the only way to do it (preferred to being rude).. There is a definite preference towards AMGs, because they are really the people who went to school here and paid 200 grand for their education...Ive never been treated bad because I was an IMG, infact most people have expressed their admiration towards indian docs..
And bbb, not all IMGs beg or cry, so dont generalise your experiences...

I did not know that some IMGs beg and cry and ask to look at their application for the 3rd time.
Of course it is stressful for you bbb, but this is still not an excuse to be silent. What about the
people who do not beg and cry but just want an answer?

Calm down you dickhead and from your words of wisdom I cant believe you are a doctor... what point are you really trying to make here? People who come here by their own choice should be treated as crap?? This country needs immigrants to run research and fill in health care jobs that go unfilled..the complaint is about candidates not getting a one line email about their rejection...

No comment on the message from Dr. ELM. It only reflects his lack of culture and ignorance.
And such people graduate from medical schools. I don't even want to know which school Dr. ELM graduated from.
I will pray that God will help Dr.ELM to cure his complexes and psychosis soon.
