Sorry, but there is absolutely NO way to easily remember this thing.I suggest you learn it by heart and try to revise a couple of times. There is an entire chapter in lange book regarding this classification and it made me CRAZY!!!

i think that is possible to remeber that in esay way by doing somme mnemonics so for RNA virus...all are ss except Reovirus ( reo and rota) all are enveloped except PCR ( picorna calici and reo) + SS and are PCR and FTR ( flavi toga and retro) add corona virus RNA all linear except BAD ( bunya arena and dettavirus= circular) capsid symmetry icoshedral = PCR and FTR others are HelicaL. segmented virus are BAROS ( good portuguese football player )which are Bunya arena reo orthomixo) others mneumonics picornavirus= percha ( poli echo rhino coxsacckie hep A) togavirus= wear virus ( west and east equine encephalitis and rubella) flavivirus= dycs virus ( dengue yellow fever and heP C and st louis enceph^) hope this will help you...take care...;-)
