When we apply for GC,EAD,and Travel Document at the same time, how long does it take to get the EAD and Travel document? I am aware of how long it takes theoretically ,but I would like to know somebodys personal experience or if u know somebody who got in around 1and 1/2 months.Any response is greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

EAD and travel document can take between one month and 3 months. Better to apply for these as soon as possible. I got mine after 5 weeks.

i am married to an American citizen.I married in July 1st, applied 15 days later, recieved both ead and travel doc in 3 months

i recieved my ead in 2 months. i want to know since we all have applied for green card what are u guys selecting in ur profile, permanent residence or foreign national.. plzz help me in this matter as i have heard some program donnot exactly know about ead.

Please tell me whether you applied for EAD and Gc from USA or u married outside USA and from there applied for EAD and GC?
Does any one know how long it takes to get EAD or some document that allows you to come to USA and start residency ,if you marry outside USA and apply for documents.

ANON: if u marry someone on h1 or j1 visa u get ur visa quickly and come here within months, but marrying a citizen takes around 12 - 14 months to come here, and then ead comes in 2 to 3 months.
i got married outside usa, got j2 visa within one month of applying and came here, later my husband got waiver and got h1 visa, then i was on h4, now that he has applied for green card so i got ead with that.

Thanks a lot msashraf. Ill get married in march and my fiance is a us citizen do u think ill get necessary documents to start my residency in june 2007?i dont care about green card but i wanna know if i can come to us and start residency.

i think after ur marriage it will take almost a year for u to enter usa and then u can get work permit to start residency, plz confirm this with someone else too.

Thanks a lot for the help.I hope i get a prematch because i need to start the visa process soon enough to have some document to start my residency in june 2007.I have aleady told programms that i dont expect h1 or j1 and ill take acre of visa my self,i hope theres a way that allows me start residency on time .
