hi everyone got my score - 99/244 . feeling over the moon .i have been visiting this forum and it was very helpful . in short what i did - kaplan notes(twice)+FA(thrice)+goljan audio (didnt read notes)+q bank. I did not do Q BOOK. but practise as many qustions as you can.but better do q book just with the first reading.i didnt do q book bcoz there are enough questions in new kaplan notes and are of good standard. whatever questions you do do it with a timer. like even if you want to do 10 q's do them in 10 minutes and so on from the beginning. and dont give an hour for a 50 q block rather give 50 min bcoz real exam has longer q's. q bank is essential. divide it into 6 exams . i mean do 7 blocks in 8 hours at a time. start doing it at least 45 days before the exam. then give nbme (any one of them) about 20 days before the exam. concentrate on weaker areas but i think you should also make your strongest areas stronger. do FA from the beginning . annonate it. it needs lot of time. try to understand concepts using kaplan notes along with it. during your second reading you should keep a notebook at hand to make a list of things that you tend to forget and at the same time they should be high yield. last 15 days only first aid and obviously you should have put your own points from kaplan. there should be no margins left blank on FA. fill them with your annonations.last 15 days only FA.refer to kaplan only when you cant understand something from FA. last 2 days - relaxe and go over your list of things you tend to forget.no new topics at all. day of exam - i took a 5 min short break after each block.go to the loo in each break.you cant leave the block in between . take coffee or caffeinated soda like red bull or pepsi and chocolate like kit kat. take a few sips and a bite of kit kat. caffeine really helps a lot.but not too much or loo will be your home. anything else you wanna ask. feel free.

thanks a lot everyone. ujaala- i took the exam on 29 nov. oasis updated 21 dec. tdmed- oasis is updated on wednesday at midnight EST. i think it should be updated this wed. drsg103- qbank and qbook are more than enough. i didnt have time to do q book. q bank is excellent. i'd say just attempt the wrong questions and read explanations for q's which are wrong again. and do it timed.

norwalk-that should be fine and second reading after a good first read takes less than a month.do FA along with kaplan and annonate it. goljan audio is excellent but no need of notes. just listen to them after completing your syllabus.and leave the last ten days for nothing. bcoz after doing nbme you might want to strengthen weak areas. and dont read kaplan in the last 10 days . only FA using kaplan as reference.

i think 2-3 reads of kaplan are enough IF you can master FA.

meroon- my qbank score was 74%. i used to do 7 blocks in 8 hours . i mean do it timed. whenever you do questions. even if you are going o do 5 questions give yourself 5 minutes. you can also see the my post in the exam score thread

last 20 days i dont think its advisable to start it now. fa is a very good review and the good thing is it saves a lot of time towards the end but only if you have read it 2-3 times. just concentrate on high yield stuff in kaplan esp charts and tables and notes in the margins. special attention to clinical correlates.

i think last 20 days means now is the time to attempt nbme. or kap sim although nbme gives a better correlation.
