Hello. Can anybody please advice the best way to study for step 1 in 1 month? My last basic science classroom course was 5 years ago. I just cannot postpone my exam. Any suggestions ? Should I even try? What are the best resources? Please help me. Thank you.

If it is one month - get Kaplan Question bank subscription - and start doing those - subject wise in tutorial mode..these questions cover almost everything you need to know for the exam and give excellent explanations . So start attempting them ..when you hit upon a question that you must read more on ..read that part from books/notes quik and more on to next question. This way you will cover all concepts in the short time frame you and will be reading only relevant stuff Anatomy you could do in the end - but surely do neuroanat ! Physio, Patho, Micro, Immuno are very important and start with those Qs first... goodluck !

You are welcome... Ive heard of so many people (in fact I know some of them) that have passed this test by just reading first aid.. I dont mean to discourage you, they just passed with 75.. If they failed two or three questions more in their tests they would have failed for sure.. Few questions I have.. Are you definetly willing to take that risk? So what do you think of your background? If you have a strong background this probably won't be an issue.. There are three forms of NBME questions try doing the one related to step one (I think CCBSA or something pretty close to that, BSA stands for basic sciences assesment).. Do it as soon as you start preparing and definetly will show you where you are standing.. Then you can focus your effforts to your weak areas.. Dont lose confidence and pursue your goals!
