I am a postdoc in the university of Michigan with J1 visa, doing researches on stroke. In my case, it is possible to take the USMLE tests and match the resident of j1 waiver programme? Thank you and happy holidays!

You don't need a waiver. You just need to match, and switch to a clinical J. Research J visas are not subject to the 2-yr home residency requirement.
