Hi,
I am a middle eastern IMG with 94/99/CS 1st attempt
2 months hands-on USCE
Graduated in July 2005.
I applied to the match in the middle of October 2005 and it was:
*65 G. Surgery(checked both prelim and cat.)-------> 1 interview
*41 preliminary internal medicine---------------------> 4 interviews
*mostly community, comm.-affliated & some university-based
All in the midwest and northeast
I need a visa and asked for J1
1-What are my chances for a match?
2-Any idea what may have caused this?
3-Any advice about damage control?!
4-What about the ranking list? how should I do it?
5-Will step3 boost my chances for the 2007 match (with, of course, submitting the CAF on the 1st of September!)?

do you require a visa? was your usce hands on ie elective? you should have gotten more interviews with those credentials. good luck
