USMLE step3 score 86/210
preparation 2-3 weeks
UW 50-70%- USMLE CD average 79%.
score reported after 3 weeks from my exam
step1&2 scores: 98/99 all of them first attempt.....
it is a happy end with matching , and getting rid of USMLE.....good luck guys

I am sure my scores would be very heartening for some of u.
step 1- 88/217,dec 2005
Step 2 - 83/205, dec 2006
step 3 - 80/196, april 2007
Approximate time for preparation- 2months, 5-7 hrs a day with ocassional day offs and mind u I am one of the slowest readers around.
UW- 53%
I think this is the best preparation tool as well as the indicator of ur preparation. If u score >55% on UW on first attempt then u are almost sure to clear this. Not seen many exceptions to this rule yet.

Took step 3; May 5 and 7, 07 (Took step 2; May, 06)

Prep time 4-5 months.
UW : 56% one month before (300 qs only)
NBME : 380 one month before
USMLE CD : 76 % Aggregate
Kaplan Qbank : did not do
Step 2ck : one year ago
Score reported after 4 wks.
Also studied Washington manual medical theraputis, FA, Crush.
UW is good for CCS.

What a journey!!!!
Wifey finally done with the USMLE. Monster is DEAD!!!
She is a 1995 grad IMG.
Step 1 09/2005 94/232
Step 2 CS 09/2005 pass
Step 2 CK 02/2007 99/250
Step 3 84/205
She took the step 2 in Feb.2007. Study time is on and off until 06/2007 (Roughly 3.5-4 months)
She studied UW only depending on her recent step 2 CK study and highscore. Her UW average was about 50%-55%. About 200 questions were gone un-answered since she made mistakes posing vs finishing the UW sessions. However she did read all the questions and answers. As for the CCS cases, she had very very limited exposure and had a chance to study using USMLE CD cases and some UW cases published. She was very scared that she was not ready for the CCS cases prior to exam.
Her exam experience was that the fisrt day easy relatively easy compare to second day. She had really hard time managing the CCS cases in which many patients neveer came out of the ICU. After the exams she seriously thought that she failed.
Well, the good news is that she was wrong and she passed with a descent score I believe. most importantly I can take a break now, too.
Good luck to those who is still working on the final step. If my wife did it as a 1995 grad, you can do it too.

Score in kaplan q bank - 65%(Tutor mode,untimed)
Score in USMLE world - 52%(Timed,random)
Score in NBME 350 1 week before exam

Studied downloaded .pdf of First Aid for USMLE Step 3, downloaded .pdf of Kaplan's explanations for USMLE CD questions, and downloaded .pdf called Kaplan Q-Bank for USMLE Step 3 (was actually a 700 page document that was significantly more amateur than something Kaplan would produce, but had many good tips)... Didn't do any question banks.
Here are my scores on the CD blocks:
39/48 = 81%
37/48 = 77%
17/24 = 71%
20/24 = 84%
Actual score: 236/98

think my CCS was much better than the MCAs and pulled my score up.

Took exam on 8/2 and 8/3. Checked result on line at 12:00 (10min ago). 229/95! I can not believe my eyes! I was even not sure if I can pass because I messed up at least 5 CCS cases! Thank God!

Step-3 229/95 (08/2007)
Materials studied: Kaplan Step-2CK notes, step-3 notes, UW, USMLE step 123.
UW is the best for both CCS and MCQs.
Study time: 3 month with full time job, take the last 2 weeks off.
UW: 61% random
NBME: 420, 2 weeks before exam
USMLE CD 32/43/17/23 one month before, 37/42/20/23 one week before exam

Hi Guys.. Got my score scores today 204/84..
Prepration time3-4 weeks.
UW59%(untimed tutor)
Revised step 2 kaplan notes once.
Mugged CCS and practised each one on the software, I guess that was a most important.
found usmle step 123 ccs practise utterly useless.

hi,
plz advise me .i plan to give step 3 in first week of nov 07.i started my preparation only 3-4 days ago.Iam worried its very short time.
i gave step 2 CK in Aug/07, 234/97- prepared for 2 1/2 months
step2 CS-may/07
step1 in April/07 -229/95- prepared for 4 months.
Is it very risky to appear in such a short time.

UW: 58% (skewed because I did 8 blocks like three months ago and they reappeared interspersed when I did it again) I did about 25 blocks
studied for 9-10 days after work...
Only used UW. Bought first aid but never read it =(
post-graduate experience makes this test much less scarier but some of the questions are still downright nasty.

nbme: 490 (10 dats before exam)
UW : 60-70%
2 months of full time preparation. the usual stuff.
