Hi, all:
Is there anyone want to study and share info for 3rd attempt of step1 prep? My goal is shooting on march 2006 by starting my weak erea BS, Histo then Bio and doing lot of Qs. My last attempt was oct. 24th 2005 scored 74. Is that enough time with 2 months? Anyone interested or has any sugestion?

What area do you live in? Im in Long Island, New York .
I also missed by 1 point, we're in similar boats. Id also say try to do 50,000 qs

Become a pathophysiology monster, attempt 50,000 qs [And possibly reluctantly buy baby Robbins] and know pharm like you drink a glass of water. Didnt register yet probably register for March/April.

Normally if their were many active intense participants on this forum we wouldnt get away with this type of direct communication. They'd say communicate by using private messaging. But since there are so many "quasi significant" web spiders on the forum we can talk like this.

Hi, Guys:
I am almost finishing the reading BS from Kaplan notes and planning to do Qs from BRS book. Do I have to read BRS book(board review series) also? There is lots of details. Or do lots of Qs from BSS CD or Q bank rather than Kaplan? Any comments?

hey guys i m to give step1 the third time , but this time i plan to take the kaplan course . can some i help me that whta should i do. i hvnt really started again but plan to take the exam in may 2006. also dont think can take live lectures , so has any1 taken audios at kapalan center , .

Welcome to my prep journal. Do you mean audio CDs? My friend did lectures from audio CDs, basically they are following the lecture notes, but there is some chapters was missing. By comparing cds with video tapes from kaplan center I was told they are about same.

I am almost finishing the review of Bioch and then doing lots of Qs. I think I am too slow? I planned to do 100qs/day, but I can not reach my goal. I am fustrating!! I may need some motivation!

hi , zhoufg ur goin great , for sisdoc i think the kaplan dvd lectures are very very good and help full thats wat im usin , the audio lectures ( i think they r called the web prep ) is ok but not as good , the dvd lectures are very helpful , i have read the kaplan notes like 2 times but could not get alot of things and thats when my sister told about these vedios and it has helped me alot , another thing is get goljan audio lectures and his detailed notes , it was a lil investment but im tellin u guys it was worth it ..........

zhoufg..1st or 2nd or 3rd or 4th attempt....that does not matter I guess, because as long as u do not carry the burden of failure along with you, thats what one of my friend did.
Just start all over..as fresh as u can..the journey begins and move one. One step at a time, U r a doctor so well, its another hurdle of anybody beiong in this field..but still u r much much better than other individuals..!!
Sure U can do it..dont worry, we all can do it.. Just cheering you up...

Yes I am tired doing kaplan Q bank. I did twice already. What about USMLEasy ? I want to try it, any commments?
For the plan this time I try to read BRS path, physio, bioch and behav as well as HY from Lippcott. Make sure you understand well. And then listening Goljan CD for integration. Of course try to memorize FA. What is your plan?

No, I called people from Kaplan whom told me that it is better staying with Q bank. The Qs are organized differently in IV QBank. Thanks for your response.

Hi guys:
My exam is in July, 25th My Qbank is around 77%. This is my 3rd attampt. I am kind of nervous about it I am expecting above 80%. I know it is not good to have anxiety. Is there anyone on the same boat? We can share some experience.

it looks like you are ready to go man, your qbank seems to be rocking and you have sweat your ass off for this exam, so be calm and keep up the good spirit, don't panic, you will do great this time. Best wishes for you buddy.

thanks! musuq, for your replying.
This is the 3rd time to do Q bank. there are some Qs you just can remember them. but i can tell that it has been updated a lot. I think it is worthy to redo the Q bank. I still think I have to to NBME to test myself to ensure . What score i have to get? above 450, 500? otherwise I will refine my study. Any comments?
Addtionally, I have done the Qbank within 3 weeks. Should I redo all the qs, 300qs/day with the rest time? or spend the last 2 weeks before exam review FA and Goljan lecture?
