I have already had the scheduling permit for step 2 CS for 12 month,
1. Do i have to register for an exact day of exam before applying for the Visa interview ?
In in a email from ECFMG they tell me that
"If you would like the ECFMG to contact the United States Embassy/Consulate in your country to assist with your visa application process, please submit your request via fax (215) 386-9196 attention Roman Mizak and include the mailing address, telephone number, fax number and the name of the official you would like the ECFMG CSA Appeals Committee to contact. The name of the official is mandatory information in order for you to receive our assistance"
2. Do i can know the name, telephone numver etc of the embassy officials before the visa interview ?

i got my visa B1/B2 and they didnīt ask me my scheduling permit. I told them i needed it to travel for pleasure.
