i am confused bcoz kaplan says that during phase 2 all the voltage gated K+ channels are closed and potassium conductance is zero....FA says that K+ efflux is balanced by the ca+2 influx(which means that all channels are not closed and their K+ conductance is not zero....infact if u look at the equilibrium pt. of ca and K ions id say its nowhere close to zero) thru slow ca+ channels....i personally think that the FA explanation is correct.....can anyone tell me whether i am right or wrong

kaplan says;during phase 2 voltage gated K+ channels are closed ca+2 channels are open, but k+ efflux continues through the ungated K+ channels.it doesn't say that K+ conductance is zero...

well.......FA says that voltage gated K+ channels begin to open in phase 1....which wud imply that they remain closed only during phase 0...and sorry abt saying that K+ conductance is zero...i actually meant conduction thru the VG potassium channels..
