apart from the symptoms..wat are the specific diagnostic test to differentiate unstable angina from stable angina..........????????

and does unstable angina has more risk of developing MI than stable??????

  #2

Yeah, It has more risk of developing than stable, so the treatment is more aggressive

  #3

Unstable angina would also have resting ECG changes like ST deps and T inversions

Yes unstable angina has a higher risk of progression to MI

  #4

angina is said to be unstable if
  • it is new onset
  • increasing in frequency
  • increasing in severity
  • occuring with greadually decreasing level of activity
  • present at rest
In between the attacks the ECG is normal. So i dont think there are any resting ECG changes if pt is symptom free at rest.

Its a clinical diagnosis with no special test to diefferentiate between unstable and stable angina.

Yes it should be taken as impending MI
