Yeah, It has more risk of developing than stable, so the treatment is more aggressive

Unstable angina would also have resting ECG changes like ST deps and T inversions Yes unstable angina has a higher risk of progression to MI

angina is said to be unstable if
- it is new onset
- increasing in frequency
- increasing in severity
- occuring with greadually decreasing level of activity
- present at rest
In between the attacks the ECG is normal. So i dont think there are any resting ECG changes if pt is symptom free at rest. Its a clinical diagnosis with no special test to diefferentiate between unstable and stable angina. Yes it should be taken as impending MI

thanks mani....but wat could be specific for unstable so that we start with anticoagulation therapy right away.......or wat we should look for...any thing particular before starting anticoagulation therapy....????

i think diagnosis of unstable angina itself warrants anticoagulation
