whta is the effect of hyperventilation on serum Ca level?

are you sure you are asking about Ca, it is probably Na, CL, HCO3, for anion gap formula
I can not remember it was something about Ca

Hyperventilation > dec. blood C02 > Dec. H+ > Inc pH ... dec binding of H+ on proteins, conversely allowing more Ca+2 to bind to proteins thus decreasing free Ca+2 conc. causing hypocalcemia.

yes, that is why you get tetany after hyperventilation
