I am planning to get residency in 2007. following are my plans.......I am taking step 1 in mid march 2006 and step 2 in mid august . some ppl say that my application for match should be ready before sept.. is that true? can I apply before taking CSA exam? please advise me about my plan , what would be better for me? thanks

Hey Star1...
You would need to get ECFMG certified before September...that means being done with your STEP 1 and 2 +CS by July end.

cant apply before taking CS... i mean u need to appear in 2cs , U CAN WAIT FR RESULTS..

Its mean I have to study for step 2 only for 3 month ? and how much CSA exam take time? Is this a deadline of september for getting residency in 2007?

HEY STAR,,
deadline for application is 30 november i think,, even then u can apply with LATE fee..
but our main purpose telling u about aug-sep cuz its the best time to apply peeps get more chances to get matched.. i have gained this MUCH info from this forum only.
not very sure about evrything..
