Hye fellow aspirants [inspired from old classics], I am currently pursuing an externship ( and having to pay through my nose for it!). I have recommendations from physicians back in my homeland. I am unsure what a reco from a US physician should be like, a doc with whom you have worked only for one month cant heap praises and praises and even if he did it the residency directors wont probably buy it. Could you give me suggestions as to the contents of this reco..I do not think a reco as exhaustive as the one my profs gave me would be practical ....it is possible but would it work? Would they buy into all the praise? Any suggestions would help. Thank ye much. Premo

Hi Do we have to get LORs fromclinicians? How about excellent LORs from people who you worked for in research or teaching? How does one go about finding externships? thanks
