Kaplan notes are an indispensable resource, my friend. The videos are reinforcers. And keep one good reference book for medicine.

Hi every one, actually I want to let every one know that KAPLAN is the PRIMARY SOURCE by most of the people to prep4usmle step 2ck. But in some subjects it has some deficiencies e.g in Medicine it has hardly any figures and tables, which is I guess is necessary for consolidating in our memory. For Surgery it is quiet good. For Pediatrics and Ob/Gyn, its not complete. For Psychiatry, its little bit OK but still not complete. I would suggest you to go with BLUEPRINTS series for all the subjects except for Medicine, for IM, read High Yeild Internal Medicine, its complete and have plenty of figures and tables , which is infact a better source. Use all the above sources with UCV's and IM BP Clinical Cases and SECRETS for USMLE STEP 2CK. For using BP as my source, I read quiet plenty of exam experiences here in this forum and decide to go for it. Many of those guys used only BP and got above 90!!!!!!!!! and I asked them, and they were telling me that, they had both, KAPLAN and BP, but they end up using BP, especially for pediatrics, Psychiatry and Ob/Gyn, for surgery they told me that BP and Kaplan both are usefull as together but for IM definitly I would say HY is the best source, bcz of my friends, he read KAPLAN and saw HY in my hands and read it and was regreting it not to use HY as his main source for IM. I hope that this will be all for now, if you have any questions, jus ask with out any hesitation. GOOD LUCK.
