Hi every body,
I'm new to this forum as well as to USA.
I'm a MBBS graduate and planning to do USMLE step 1( March, April, May). I started with Kaplan lecture notes series and hope to do the Q bank after studying those 7 books. Feel that it is inadequate as I need to score higher marks ( International graduate)
When I go through experiences of others it seems that there are many other study materials. I want to know whether those audio lectures are helpful and what are NBME questions and how to get them ?
Please help me to plan my studies and to select best study materials.
Appreciate your response.

hi, im also an MBBS and im also plannin for aptil may. Here is wat im doin , im usin kaplan note for almost every thing witha few exceptions, pathology: i think goljan audio lectures and his notes/rapid review along with his 100 pages HY notes ( for reference ) kaplan is not got for pathology, second will be Neuroanatomy:if u have a very good bascis background with it then u can do it from kaplan but i think HY is much better.
i dont think ill be usin FA , but i might give it a try when im goin through my 3rd/4th read..... Qbank , Qbook are very good sources , takin NBME is also good idea which ill be doin my self atlest a month and then 2 weeks b4 my exam.
now the next thing is goin through the stuff, this is wat is workin for me , i read as much as i can once and then i go through the same chapters with the kaplan dvd lectures ( i should say they r a real life saver for me ).
thats all i have for the moment , let me know if u need more help

going through Kaplan notes first at least three times and first aid. Then I would keep on doing questions and learning from the answers.
