there is no safe number of interviews...people usually do match with 8-10 interviews...but in the past some have matched with just one interview call and one guy didn't maych with 9 interviews.so just concentrate on the interview day and perform well.u have pretty good chances of matching.regarding the prematch offer...it's really ur choice.it definitely is a safe bet...but then u have to look at everything cummalatively.

There is no safe number to gaurantee for a match. One of my friends didn't matched last years with 15 interviews ( he is going through again this year) and other one matched with just one interview. I will suggest if your score is below 85 and year of graduation is >3 years....jump on any pre-match offer. Best of luck and keep faith.

I'm petrified about the match... i have 13 interviews... 5 IM 7 family Medicine and 1 pediatrics... I'm afraid I wont match because my USMLE scores are low... step 1 79 and step 2 CK 81 2nd attempt...

I already turned down 2 FM prematch because I really want internal medicine... I told them that I would rank them high...

Do I realy have a chance with IM with these scores?

md_doc,

What were the credentials of your friend who didn't match with 15 interviews?? Did he rank them all?? Did he turn down any prematch offer?? Your reply is appreciated.
