Hi, Havefun. Washington univ. is excellent, I have an interview there and I dont know what to do, because they dont have fellowships (of course you can always find a fellowship in another univ. after the residency). I dont know if Im going to rank them in the 1st place, but Im sure Ill rank them high. Depends on what your plans are after the residency. I said Wayne state because the have fellowships in addiction and geriatrics psychiatry (if you are interested on any of them). I think St. Louis univ also has those fellowships. So, after all this rambling on, I dont know what to tell you. The only thing I can tell you is that you have excellent options. I cant tell you the order, but I know Penn, Wayne, Washington, St. Louis, Caritas, Tufts, and Connecticut, WOW, all of them are great. Congratulations on all your interviews, I hope you make the right decition. And I hope I could help you more.

Hi all, I was wondering if people who have got prematch offers in psych,do u ask them during interview or in the thank u letter? Also, anyone has interviewed in penn state for psych? I need some input as I'm going there on Tuesday. I have finished with the first 3 on my list.....so far,I would grade AMEP 5/10 and Rosalind franklin 6/10.I did not like SIU.(The PD was not friendly and the residents seem unhappy).

Hi Havefun. My credentials are not that great, they are step 1 80 (2nd attempt), step 2 81, CS pending. I am n IMG but I am a citizen. I worked in research as a volunteer for about a year at LSU dept. of geriatric psychiatry and did an observership there as well, and I started a fellow in psychopharmacology in July this year at LSU, but its suspended due to Katrina. I am having my interview in Washington univ on Jan. How did it go in yours?.
