Charcot's arteries are also called: the lenticulostriate arterial group. They are usually affected in hemorrhagic stroke due to hypertension.

here s the catch point ppl...charcott's artery o HEMORRHAGE is middle cerebral artery..!!its called so as it leads to max damage during any trauma to brain..correct me if m wrong

charcot's artery (arteria haemorrhagiae cerebri) is one of the lenticulostriate arteries which are branches of arteria cerebri media
