Hi Dr.Kill, My husband just completed his residency from Nassau Univ med center in IM this year.wat i can tell u that it is a very IMg friendly prog...has few fellowship opportunities...teaching is not upto the mark.overall it's located in a wonderful area of longisland NY.they provide excellent on campus accomadation for the residents.(i lived there for 2 years) if u have any other questions...lemme know...and good luck.

Stony Brook interviews only recent grads who do not require visa - that is either green card holders or american citizens ....but that info is for Peds, not IM

hey doc_apurva, i don't know abt the financial trouble u r mentioning ant nassau...but ya,it has limited fellwship opportunites.only in nephro and hem/onc. it's recent grads have gotten a few good fships like gastro..but then again the number is small.it's a univ affiliated program...it's affiliated with stony brook.

stony brook do give visas as some persons who came to the interview needed visa.actually the interview was my most satisfying one till date ,only thing was i reached late. nassau is a community hospital with some fellowships.actually my frnd is a internthere.he s haPPY,there r 4 fellowships there.my interview on 15 december there.they give apartments to residents and area is v beautiful.
