please tell us how u prepared and what u thought helped u the most in gettin such a good score. how should someone startin fresh for step 2 go about?

hi deepti,
i am in the same situation too... i guess we fill out the commonapplication form we need to mention loss of 1 attempt..i guess it matters there..
anyway good luck n good score....

Any attempt on USMLE exam would definitely make ur struggle for residency a little harder. I don't mean to discourage anyone but thats the truth..no doubt 91 is a good score but keep in mind its on a second attempt...being myself in the race for residency this year I know how an attempt on exams can prove detrimental to ur application for residency but one can always try to build up one's resume by getting some hands on USCE n getting some solid US LOR's...competition this year is cut throat n it will either be same or increase in coming years coz lot of people r getting double 99's or both scores above 95..Program Director's select candidates for interview by first looking at scores n then USCE[ which has been the trend this year]...sorry for providing my honest opinion..go to 'match support' forum on this website n look for urself ..candidates with very good scores r not getting enough interviews..i dunno wat ur step 1 score is but 91 is a good score But..
anyway good luck n feel free to ask any more questions u have... people on this forum r very nice n im sure u will get answer to ur questions from someone.
