but q bank says camp pathway

let me tell u,

vasopressin acts on 4 receptors, V1a, V1b, V2, oxytocin receptor

V2 is the one of our interest, it is present in the renal medullary segment of collecting ducts...it acts via the camp pathway, increases protein kinase a and this further increases the expression of aquaporins2 aqp2, the water channel...

the V1a is present on the vessels, Vib is present in the anterior pitutary and regulates the secretion of acth, and along with the oxytocin receptor, increases the phospholipasec and acts via this pathway

  #6

V1 acts via Gq/PLC

V2 acts via Gs/cAMP

correct, see FA and BRS

  #7

yes tht is rite , u can check it out in FA.. biochem section...
