Hi,
as long as ur step 3 results come back by match time(which is march)...u'll do fine.better still is to have ur result before rank list submission date(22nd Feb)...so that the progs can rank u higher knowing that u have cleared step 3.
it actually varies from one prog to the other.if they like u in the interview...they'll be willing to wait for ur result till march.that's wat one program director told me.
if u plan on taking step 3 by Jan 15th...u'r result shud come within 3-4 weeks...so u'll have adequate time.
...but then again...the sooner u give it the better!
