D...i think..

  #3

The transversalis fascia invests the kidneys and the adrenals...and since it is a posterlateral approach the parietal peritoneum is not incised...

  #4

Its D, remember kidneys are retro peritoneal

  #5

kidneys r retroperitoneal.....and dont think pleura comes in the way...so its d

oh yeah sweet !!!

D.-transversalis fascia

  #11

its DIAPHRAGMATIC PLEURA smiling face

  #12

its B people... look at the diagrams...sad

  #13

fascia transversalis is not on the posterolateral side...remember..the origin of transversalis fascia???

  #14

waqastariq, r u sure they cut open the pleura? In that case to reach the kidney you have to cut the diaphragm also...

and moreover the lower border of pleura and the upper border of rt kidney is 12th rib. i think the incision shud be below tht level. fascia transversalis disappears only posterior to the kidney. laterally its still present.

Please correct me if im wrong

fascia transversalis divides into prerenal and retrorenal fascia, so it's retrorenal fascia but it is still part of fascia transversalis, so D

  #16

oopss sorry guys...I mistaken it with some other question..rather I dint read it carefully like I always do sad

there was this another one in which they asked about which pleura is likely to be damaged...

it's written NORMALLY...the above explanation is correct...that fascia transversalis divides into prerenal and retrorenal fascia and retrorenal fascia is what is incised..thanks smiling face
