This sounds like an old question? But I still donot know the best answer. What is the best way to take NBME? Is it worth saving all those Qs? Can I get the same performance analysis profile if I do it in self-paced mode, so I have time to save all those Qs.? Does anybody have or know where can I find all those Qs saved before by other people since everyone gets the same Qs.? Want to take it tomorrow. Please advise me. Thanks,

I think it will depend in your test date and if you are planning on taking NBME2. If you will take NBME 2, i would take the 1 not timed, just to assess myself, and i would do the second in time mode to really simulate the experience. But for the first one, i think you can start doing it, and write down whatever sounds like it came from mars! soyou can later look it up, you can also make notes to remember stuff. Good Luck! Let us know how it went...

Thanks, GOMB. I did NBME form 1 today scored 570. I am glad and feel more confident for my real exam 3 weeks later. I did it in standard mode, 1 hour for ea block. I used printScreen and saved all those Qs that I am not sure. Took 3 minutes. Not bad. Now I need to look up the books to find the correct answer. It seems like pain. Anyone do whether can I find the answers posted before? I believe that correlation btw NBME score and the real exam. But I am surprised that all of the NBME Qs are so short. I finished 50 NBME Qs in 50 minutes, but thinking I need to train myself to be faster.

You rock!!! that is a great score! Now i'm envious! Now just focus on whichever weak areas NBME pointed and get ahold of your FA book! Can you tell me how you've been preparing yourself? How long? how many reads and which materials? I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks and Good Luck! Keep going!!!

Thanks GMOB. I really think it is too early to share my experience. I will sure report it after my real EXAM. But I do believe that "repeatition is the KEY" and try to do as many as Qs as you can. I guess you have read Kingsofke's post about his preparation on this forum which is awesome. And I do agree 4 readings is a great strategy. Good Luck
