In the residency contract, it says that we should get the state liscence before starting the residency. Does anyone know how we can get a state liscence? How is the procedure? Do all residency contracts have that?

You would need to get a temporary state license or residency permit before starting a residency. Each state has different requirements. Once you match, your residency program will give you applications to fill out.

The program that you signed a prematch with should give you the information for the medical license. Send a quick email to your program coordinator and ask when that information will be coming out. It might not be until March when applicants who match will get their information.

Congratulations!

Thanks BBB. I called the program coordinator. He told me that the program will provide the paper work for the liscence, and there should not be a problem. he also said that it's too early to worry about thatsticking out tongue

Thank you once again for your help and supportsmiling face

True - it is way to early to worry about it. But I would be impressed with an applicant who is going to call me this early to see what they need to do!

Good job!
