Hi, DiaHug It is so wonderful that you got pre-match . One question I do have for you or anyone who know the answer. I am also waiting for my Step2 CS result right now, however, I am really not sure if I can make it and very worried that I may fail CS. If during the time waiting CS, I was given pre-match offer and later on I found that my CS was failed, will the program immediately withdraw the pre-match offer or will they allow me to take CS exam again as long as I pass my CS and get certificate before July 1st when the residency training starts.

Well, you would have to pass the CS exam prior to July 1st. You would need the CS to get your ECFMG certification, which you need to get your license in whatever state you get your residency. Good luck

Thanks very mch for your answer, BBB!! My question is whethr the program will alow me to re-take CS and do not withdraw their pre-match offer. Or they just withdraw right after they see my reslut of CS when ERAS automatically transfer the reslut to them

hey my thoughts exactly, i've been told to think only good thoughts, but my cs was a pretty horendous experience because of the time factor. Did you just get a letter from ecfmg about cs results being delayed and taking 8-12 weeks to come in? like I need another thing to worry about. I guess we just got to sit tight.

Yes! Thanks for your response. I received the email form ECFMG too in regards to the expected delay of deliver of CS score. I also felt my louse perform in CS exam, even though many people told me it is same feeling in each one who took the exam. So, DiaHuq, did you accept any of your pre-match offer? Considering the not too good situation in application of this year, I think I would like to accept pre-match offer if I had one (This is not suggestion for you, I just say if I had one) as long as the program is not too bad. But, I just think if my CS failed, will the program withdraw the offer after we sign the contract? Will thay allow us to re-take CS and pass it before July 1st?

u need to have csa, step1 and step2ck passed b4 match day or u will automatically withdrawn from the match by ecfmg. ur credentials need not be verified by then and also u can be non ecfmg certified but all ur exams need to be passed about an out of match/prematch position i believe bbbs opinion is right. although different pds may have slightly diff views apurva

okie guys, another interview today and another prematch offer,(24hours to decided talk about pressure), but i asked about the cs thing to the pd and she said that after interviewing me and talking to me that she doesn't think i would fail, but if the it did occur then i would have to retake it and pass it as soon as i could. so i guess if they like you enough to offer you a prematch they'll wait for you.
